The second concert in our 2020 Nimmo Artists in Residence series at Wiltshire Music Centre is a special collaboration with the Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra.
We have specially arranged 5 of our pieces for the Youth Orchestra - challenging the students to new concepts in Jazz music.
We will play the first half quartet then lead the WYJO during the second.
Our first concert in Leicester for over 10years. Happy to be involved in the Leicester Jazz House organisation and playing at this marvellous venue!
We will play music building to our live album recording.
Our first concert as Nimmo Artist’s in Residence at Wiltshire Music Centre features the piano maestro Gwilym Simcock. We have admired Gwilym’s work since we first started the band - be it his numerous albums or more recently touring with Pat Metheny. Plus Gwilym was a previous Nimmo Artist in residence so this concert will be a great introduction to our year.
