EMPIRICAL - '6 Days in Old Street' - A Pop-up Jazz Lounge
In February 2016, Empirical were resident at there self-created Pop-Up Jazz Lounge in the concourse of Old Street Station.
This ground breaking performance series was the first of it's kind and connected Empirical's music, and jazz music more widely, with a new audience.
For 6 days in Old Street Station, London, Empirical performed multiple sets at different times of day for commuters, passers-by and curious people, all free entry. They ran workshops for local schools and even a kindergarten group!
With help from The Art's Council England, The Worshipful Company of Musicians, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Also with the talents of Emma Morris, Tom Stone and most of all Claudia.
